I have a love of Sunflowers and animals and wanted to include them both in this painting. This scene is a lovely happy scene with a playful feel. The cat and butterfly look at each other surrounded by gorgeous sunflowers. I have used metallic acrylic paints and normal acrylic paints in tones of gold, white pearl, yellows, orange, orchre, rust, brown, black and white. The cat and butterfly are wooden, creating a 3d effect. The butterfly is in tones of purples. The painting has a soft sheen in areas where the metallic shines.
