The Story About Cathy's Art*

I am a self taught artist that has always loved being creative. For over a year now I have got back into painting. I am inspired by many things, including the seasons, nature, animals, fantasy, fairy-tale, mystical and my imagination. I have a deep love and passion for things that are unusual and not considered the norm. I love crystals and stones and enjoy crystal healing and meditations. I have a little dog called "Dexter", he is my best friend and brings me laughter every day. At the moment I paint at home in my front room or kitchen and sometimes in the garden, (weather permitting ), one of my dreams is to have a studio.

I love to paint in acrylic and watercolour paints, on paper, canvases and wood, using different textures and techniques. I have some my paintings printed as prints, greeting cards, cushions, mugs, coasters and other items.

Each painting tells a story from my imagination, with a whimsical and magical feel. When painting I feel a sense of calm, peace and grounding.
